Xinjiang, Hami first 10 MW project approved

28.Nov.2009 Recently a 10 MW PV grid-connected demonstration project has been approved in the autonomous region of Xinjiang.
This project shall benefit from the Golden Sun program launched by the Chinese government at the end of July of this year.

According to information released by the relevant department of the local reform and development commission , the city of Harmi has seized the chance to submit their project for subsidy due to Government’s recent announcement to increase the development and utilization of new energy and to implement the Golden Sun Project,

The 10 MW PV grid-connected demonstration project will be realized by Hami Tianrun New Energy Co. in an area located 5 km north of the 13 Jianfang railway station. The company will also build a 35Kw transmission project.

The planned total investment amounts to RMB 249,490 million ( € 24,328 million) ,half of it will be submitted to the authorities to benefit from the subsides.

Weihai to add 3 new photovoltaic power plant projects

12 Oct. 2009 The Shandong province reform and development committee has recently approved three PV power plant projects: Triangle Group 5 MW demonstration plant, Weihai Blue Star Glass Holding Co., Ltd 1 MW photovoltaic power plant and Wendeng Nanhai 5MW power plant .

The three projects, accounting for an investment of 36,600 million yuan, have already been included into Shandong’s Golden Sun Demonstrative Project programm.


On July 22 of this year, the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Science and Technology and the National Energy Administration jointly released " Golden Sun Demonstration Project Financial Assistance Fund Management Interim Measures”. A combination of financial assistance, technology support and market driven approach encouraging the development of solar photovoltaic power generation projects.




A move which will subsidize 50% of total investment in PV power generation systems and power transmission facilities in on-grid projects, and 70% for independent projects.
